Single Origin Speciality Coffee
The Southern coffee growing areas of Colombia’s Huila region produce some of the most dynamic and complex profiles from in Latin America. Small-holder farmers represent the vast majority of Huila’s production, and the cooperative structure has been enormously effective in bringing their coffees to the specialty market. These deeply dedicated small coffee grower families from the Timana Cooperative are known for producing consistently high-quality speciality coffees at every harvest.
As certified Fairtrade producers, there is sustainable socio-economic stability for the growers and their families. The Timana Cooperative has been working with Fairtrade since 2007 to ensure socio-economic stability for its small coffee grower families. Deeply dedicated and award winners for their speciality coffees, the Cooperative grows over 80% of its coffees in the shade at high altitude. With a focus on environmental sustainability and high agricultural standards, the cooperative is known for producing consistently high-quality speciality coffees at every harvest.
This coffee has a sweet and balanced finish with excellent body as espresso, or experience brighter notes of apple and blackcurrant when brewed as filter.

Babies thriving in Colombia thanks to Compassion
Salome had a tough start in life. But, after being born prematurely with some health problems, she’s now thriving.
Medical care, love, education and food from the local Compassion project in Colombia have helped mum Marta provide for Salome and her sister.
“Food baskets are a great help to me,” she says. “It would be difficult to feed my babies without that help, as we don’t have enough resources.”
