Releasing Children from Poverty in Jesus’ name.
Worldwide, 385 million children live in extreme poverty. Poverty robs children of their basic rights to learn, play and grow. In its ugliest form, poverty can lead to exploitation, child labour and even death. It’s unacceptable.
Our approach to fighting poverty is highly focused and personal. We connect sponsors to individual children so they are personally known and loved. Through prayers and messages of encouragement, sponsors play a vital role in building the confidence of their sponsored child and affirming their worth in Christ. Regular donations fund the provision of our holistic child development programme.
By purchasing from Indigo Valley you're supporting Compassion. For every pack you buy, £1 goes towards income generating activities for children and their families. Your purchases support sustainable development that's changing lives, giving dignity, renewing hope and raising aspirations.
How does it work?
When you partner with Compassion you join an incredible global community of people empowering children to overcome poverty.
Sponsors come alongside children’s families, their local church and Compassion project team. Together we give children vital support in every area of their lives.

Christ-Centred
Jesus is at the heart of everything we do. Our programmes show God’s love to children born into extreme poverty.
Church-Based
We believe that the Church is the hope of the world. We run our programmes in partnership with more than 8,000 local churches who know their communities inside out.
Child-Focused
We intentionally focus on caring for children, the most vulnerable to the devastating effects of poverty. We support children in every area of their lives, tackling the root causes of poverty that hold them back.
If I could describe Compassion in one word, I would say "opportunity".
My sponsors wrote to me and told me "Tony, we are so proud of you. It’s amazing that you are young and you’re already teaching others how to use a computer".
“Today, I have a degree in systems engineering and master’s in arts of spiritual formation and discipleship. I serve as a National Director for Compassion in the Dominican Republic releasing the next generation of children from poverty in Jesus’ name.”
