Speciality Single Origin Decaf Coffee

The Cerrado is the largest woodland savanna in South America and biologically one of the richest in the world. Farmers in the region must preserve 35% of the land's indigenous habitats for wildlife such as grassy savannas, scrublands and forests.

The Swiss Water decaffeination is 100% chemical free through osmosis. Understood to be the only way to get the truest taste of origin without hindering quality in the cup, our speciality decaf from Brazil is perfect for those wanting to avoid caffeine.

If you need an incredible afternoon or evening coffee, this one is for you! Distinctively smooth and sweet with good notes of roasted peanuts, soft milk chocolate and cookie dough. Medium-bodied with mild acidity and slight burnt sugar sweetness.

Ideal as pour-over or cafetiere, but also superb for espresso.

*For each pack sold, £1 will be donated to Compassion UK Christian Child Development, a registered charity in England and Wales (1077216) and Scotland (SC045059).

How Compassion is helping in Brazil

“Our home used to be made of straw and mud. There was just one bedroom, and people could see us from the outside through the holes in the walls. When it rained, we used to stay up all night, holding buckets and drying the floor.” - Geri, 15 years old.

In a fishing village in coastal Brazil, Geri shares her home with 13 relatives. They lacked safety and privacy and dreamed of building a new house. However, earning a small income from the sale of cockles, mussels, and other shellfish meant money didn’t stretch far enough to cover expenses, let alone a new home.

Things changed when Geri found a sponsor through Compassion. Her sponsor sent the family a financial gift to add a bathroom with a toilet and a shower. Following this, they slowly rebuilt the house with bricks, giving them the space they needed.

Geri’s mum Irene says, “I know I would never be able to build anything if we didn’t have the [project’s] support. Without them, we would probably still live in the same straw house we used to live in. Now we have a brick house and more rooms. I’m really grateful.”
